1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing our products or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

U2ME™ Codes are smart QR code tags that can be attached to personal belongings. When scanned, these codes display contact information to help reunite lost items with their owners. Our service includes:

Printable U2ME™ Codes delivered via email
Physical laminated U2ME™ Code stickers shipped to your address
A secure found page that allows finders to contact you directly
A secure database to store your contact preferences

3. Service Period

Each U2ME™ Code purchase includes a three (3) year service period from the date of purchase. During this period, your U2ME™ Code will remain active and functional. After the service period expires:

Your U2ME™ Code may be deactivated
You will receive a renewal reminder via email before expiration
Renewal options will be available to extend your service

We recommend replacing physical U2ME™ Codes periodically due to normal wear and tear.

4. User Responsibilities

When using our services, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Only provide contact information for individuals who have consented to be listed
Use the service for lawful purposes only
Not use the service to harass, stalk, or harm others
Keep your account information secure

5. Finder Communications

When someone finds your lost item and scans your U2ME™ Code, they are directed to a secure page where they can contact you. Finders may reach out via:

Text message to your registered phone number
Email to your registered email address

U2ME™ does not automatically send notifications when your code is scanned. Communication is initiated by the finder through our secure contact page, which protects your personal information while enabling connection.

6. Payments and Refunds

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are listed in US dollars. Digital products are delivered immediately and are non-refundable. For physical products, please contact us within 30 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied, and we will work to resolve the issue.

7. Limitation of Liability

U2ME™ Codes provide a communication tool to help reunite lost items with their owners. We do not guarantee that lost items will be found or returned. We are not responsible for:

Items that are lost, stolen, or damaged
Actions taken by finders of your items
Failure of third parties to return items
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for our services.

8. Intellectual Property

U2ME™ and the U2ME™ Codes name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Found It Safe LLC. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

9. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. SMS/Text Messaging Terms

By providing your phone number during the purchase of U2ME codes, you expressly consent to receive transactional SMS/text messages from U2ME regarding item recovery notifications.

Purpose: Messages are sent only to notify you when someone scans your U2ME QR code, indicating your item may have been found
Frequency: Message frequency varies based on scan activity (typically 0-2 messages per year)
Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from SMS notifications. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages
Help: Reply HELP for assistance or email [email protected]
Costs: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier
Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
No sharing: Your consent to receive SMS will not be shared with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our business.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
